To the Florida homeowners, families, and property owners who trust us with what matters most.
“If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’ve seen my name before.
Maybe you’ve seen one of our trucks driving down the road. Maybe you’ve talked to someone on our team. Maybe you’re trying to decide whether we’re the right company to trust with your home.
I thought it might be worth introducing myself.
Not as a business owner. Just as Blake.
I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Construction has been my entire life. I’ve installed roofs, worked with builders, worked with manufacturers, and spent years learning this industry from every angle imaginable.
Eventually, life brought me to Florida.
Florida gave me opportunities I never expected. It gave me the chance to build something special, to grow a company Chappelle Roofing, and to help thousands of homeowners through some of the most difficult moments they’ll ever face after hurricanes and major storms.
For that, I’ll always be grateful.
But no matter how much the company grew, I never wanted to become disconnected from the people we serve.
That’s probably because of where I come from.
As I’m writing this, I’m sitting in a room filled with memories. The people who shaped me, taught me, and pushed me to be better aren’t all here anymore. The older I get, the more I realize how much those people influenced the way I see the world.
They taught me that your name matters. Your word matters.
And if you’re fortunate enough to build something of your own, you better be proud of the way you built it.
That’s why I’ve always taken this personally.
My last name is on every truck. It’s on every proposal, every roof we install.
One day, my daughter will drive down the road and see that name. When she does, I want her to know it stands for something.
Not perfection. Integrity. Because I’m not perfect, no company is.
But I’ve always believed that when there’s a problem, you have the conversation. You answer the phone. You show up. And you make it right.
That’s how I was raised.
The truth is, there are a lot of things in this industry that bother me.
I’ve seen roofs installed the wrong way. I’ve seen homeowners spend money believing they were protected when they weren’t. I’ve seen companies prioritize growth over people.
And maybe that’s why I’ve never been very good at telling people what they want to hear.
I’d rather tell people the truth. Even if it’s not the easiest conversation.
When my team sits at a kitchen table with a homeowner, I don’t want them thinking about sales numbers. I want them thinking about what’s actually best for that family.
Sometimes that’s a replacement. Sometimes it’s a repair. Sometimes it’s simply giving someone honest advice. Because if we earn your trust, I want it to be for the right reasons.
At the end of the day, roofing isn’t really what we’re building. We’re building trust. And whether you’ve been a customer for years or you’re visiting our website for the first time, I want you to know something:
We’re grateful you’re here.
Thank you for taking the time to learn who we are.
And thank you for considering us when it comes to protecting the place that matters most.”
Sincerely,
Blake Chappelle
